Michael Schirp, a spokesman for Germany’s National Olympic Committee, said the committee will examine a feasibility study for a Munich 2014 Winter Olympic bid at its next meeting the end of the month.
Leipzig, Germany’s candidate for the 2012 Summer Games, failed to make the shortlist in the race for the 2012 Games.
A plus for a Munich bid is that the city still has the infrastructure from the 1972 Games, including an Olympic arena, as well as several nearby winter sports centres that regularly host top-level competitions.
