Funkwerk has been awarded a three million euro contract to equip the Turin underground with the latest security technology for the Turin 2006 Winter Olympic Games.
Turin’s underground will be equipped with state-of-the-art security technology.
The contract includes the planning, delivery and installation of a video monitoring system in the vehicles of underground line one and the control centre, and Funkwerk will upgrade the video monitoring system at the stations, in the tunnel and at the Collegno depot.
Turin will have the first underground in Italy to be fitted with cutting-edge digital technology for the transmission and recording of image information from more than 600 cameras.
