Frankfurt 2012 Head Considers Paralympics A Challenge

Heinz Jurgen-Weiss, head of Frankfurt 2012, said the 2012 Paralympics are a large concern and a special challenge.

Of the 4000 athletes that could participate in the 2012 Paralympics, about 1/3 will be in wheelchairs and 500 could be blind or visually impaired.

During the 2012 Paralympics, hotel rooms will have to become wheelchair accessible, as will other services.

Should Frankfurt become the German candidate for the 2012 Summer Games, an organization called the Paralympics-CORP will be established.
