Zhukov said at the event, “in half a year we managed to achieve a lot for strengthening Sochi’s bid. Sochi has become a strong Candidate City thanks to the support of its natives. This forum will increase the bid’s efforts – investors that are here have a chance to see with their own eyes that the city deserves to become the capital of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games”.

Sochi 2014 bid CEO Dmitry Chernyshenko said, “the Russian Government and the business community recognize the unprecedented economic and social legacy the 2014 Winter Games would leave for the region should Sochi be selected as the host city. He added, “we have the right resources, expertise and passion to offer the world an unforgettable Winter Games experience, with state-of-the-art facilities and brand new, modern infrastructure, which will be developed in Sochi over the next seven years”.
