Juan Antonio Samaranch, former president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) says that Norway is favoured to host the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
Samaranch told the radio and television network Norway Nrk that the 1994 Lillehammer Games were the best Winter Olympic Games ever and that’s why he considers Norway the favourite.
Tromsoe, Trondheim and Oslo are competing to become Norway’s candidate for a 2018 bid, which should be sent to Norway’s Olympic Committee by February 19.
