Although it’s six years before Sochi hosts the Winter Olympic Games, the Australian reports that Russian prosecutors confiscated almost 14,000 thousand bottles of illegal Olympic vodka last month. The vodka bore the Olympic name without permission, according to Yelena Kozyr, spokesperson for the prosecutor’s office in the southern province of Krasnodar.
Kozyr said it was the first case involving vodka production ahead of the 2014 Games.
The vodka, called Olympic, had the Olympic symbol of five interlocking rings and the words Sochi 2014.
