International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Jacques Rogge confirmed that the negotiations to shift the equestrian events from Beijing to Hong Kong during the 2008 Summer Olympic Games were still ongoing.
Beijing has submitted a proposal to the IOC to move the equestrian events to Hong Kong, more than 1,250 miles south of Beijing but the International Equestrian Federation opposed the move.
Rogge said more discussions would be held this week.
