In its bid to become the German candidate for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, colourful banners with the Dusseldorf 2012 logo adorn the city.
The banners are affixed to the towers of Dusseldorf’s airport, on hotels, sports venues, offices and the Arag towers, the tallest building in the city.
