The financial aspect of Tromsoe’s bid for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games was not agreed upon last November by Norway’s government and the government did not recommend a Tromsoe bid for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
A Parliamentary committee put forward a proposal on February 17 and Parliament will debate and make a decision on Tromsoe’s bid in a session on Monday April 18.
Among the cities bidding or contemplating a 2014 Winter Olympic bid are Salzburg Austria, Sofia Bulgaria, Pyeongchang South Korea, and Harbin China.
