PyeongChang’s annual “Great Mountain Music Festival” will hold concerts in London and Paris this month to help promote PyeongChang’s strong cultural heritage in its bid for the 2014 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“Great Mountain” is another name of PyeongChang in South Korea and the mountain range that connects to Gangneung City, one of the proposed venues for the Games and host of the summer festival.
The theme of the concerts will be “PyeongChang’s Four Seasons” which is being staged in Europe for the first time, following concerts held at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Century Theatre in Beijing.
