Pyeongchang’s bid for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games was promoted Friday at a concert by the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra.
The bid committee invited foreign envoys, local business leaders and journalists and following the concert the committee hosted a reception for both performers and members of the audience.
About 500 internet-based supporters for the 2010 Games attended the concert wearing promotional T-shirts.
Other upcoming promotions include academic seminars and sports events, including marathons, being organized by the private sector.
Based on recent polls nine out of 10 Koreans support Pyeongchang’s bid.
