Michael Chambers, head of the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC), told reporters in Seoul Tuesday that he wants to drop the medals plaza shows at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
He said the medals ceremony should be the main event of the night, and not concerts or light shows. “Its original intent has been turned on its head. The medals are best awarded at venues immediately after the event”.
