Piemonte Mayor Sergio Chiamparino and Pangiotis Giannopulos, governor of the Peloponnesus region have twinned Greece’s Peloponnesus region and Italy’s Piemonte following a meeting between the two officials.
Chiamparino and Giannopulos discussed opportunities for the development of the relationships between the two communities in cultural, tourist and commercial fiends, in view of both countries hosting Olympic Games.
Athens Greece is the host city for the 2004 Summer Games and Turin Italy is the site of the 2006 Winter Olympics.
