The Latin American Council for Sport (CID) is supporting Madrid’s bid for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. The CID consists of the Sport Ministers of 22 countries of the region.
According to a CID statement “the CID member countries have decided to express their total and complete support to the city of Madrid’s bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games”. The statement continues, “Madrid and Spain have shown an excellent ability to host great international sport event. The Latin American countries believe that Madrid deserves the designation as host city and to organize a magnificent 2012 Olympic Games”.
