Seb Coe, winner of two Olympic Gold medals in the 1,500 metre race, has rejected an offer to lead Madrid’s bid for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
According to a British newspaper Coe said, “obviously there is no way I could become involved in any situation that would be detrimental to the London bid.
“Although we shouldn’t underestimate Madrid, London and Paris are the front runners. London has a very good chance and its fortunes lie in its own hands.
“It has to get its act together, but it shouldn’t be worried about any of the other bids”.
