The chief press officer for Britain’s Department for Culture, Media and Sport told GamesBids.com that an ITV report, which GamesBids.com referenced in an article Monday, was in error.
According to the ITV report the British Government was to decide today whether it will give its full backing to the British Olympic Association for London to bid for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
The press officer said that contrary to the report, the “British Government has not announced the date for its announcement of its decision on whether to bid for the 2012 Olympics”.
