Beijing, one of Toronto’s opponents for the 2008 Summer Olympic bid, Monday unveiled an ambitious $17.8 billon plan to clean itself up.
The China Daily said Beijing would start 50 environmental and transportation projects before the end of the year, including a program to replace coal with natural gas.
