An 18-metre high Beijing 2008 emblem now sits in the front of the 19-storey Beijing Olympic Tower. The tower houses the headquarters of Beijing’s Organizing Committee and will be the command centre for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games.
The new Olympic logo was added to the front and east side of the building June 28. BOCOG moved into the building in January to accommodate an expanding work volume, reports the People Daily. A similar decorative banner was installed on its western wall Saturday.
