The 91,000-seat “Bird’s Nest” Stadium, venue for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies at the Beijing Olympic Games, is now complete and fully operational, according to Chinese officials.
The BBC reports that all 37 venues for the Games are now ready.
Project Manager Tan Xiaochun said, “the Bird’s Nest is the last completed Olympic venue but the best”. Cost of the project was $500 million.
