A groundbreaking ceremony was held Friday for the Beijing 2008 Shooting Range Clay Target Field, one of the 11 Beijing-based Olympic venues to be renovated from existing facilities.
The venue will have a floor space of 6,170 square metres with a capacity for 5,000 seats, 1,047 permanent and 3,953 temporary.
The field should be completed by August 2007 and will host six shooting disciplines, including men’s and women’s skeet shooting and trap shooting.
