The emblem for the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games was approved by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) on July 8.
The emblem will be introduced to the public July 13 on the third anniversary of Beijing’s successful bid for the 2008 Olympic Games.
The emblem’s theme is “Heaven, Earth and Mankind”. According to the IPC the emblem has an accurate grasp of the spirit and core idea of the Paralympic Games.
Philip Craven, President of the IPC, says that the emblem, which highlights Chinese culture, fits perfectly with the ideas of the IPC.
