Organizers of the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games launched a global search Monday for experts to build state-of-the-art venues for the 2008 Olympic Games.
Feng Jianzhong, assistant director of the State General administration of Sports (SGAS) explained, “we’re looking for a chief engineer who is supposed to take charge of the quality control and technical instructions of all Olympic projects, and dozens of experts in various fields, such as civil engineering and electrical engineering.
“The applicants for these jobs should have rich experience in related areas and profound expertise. We welcome all capable people from home and abroad to join us in contributing to a best-ever Olympic Games”.
Projects for the Beijing 2008 Games are expected to cost about $460 million (U.S.).
Beijing promised to finish construction of its sporting facilities at least a year ahead of the 2008 Games so test events could be held during 2007.
