Beijing has initiated the 2008 “City Emblem” Conceptual Design International Competition between July 26 to August 22 and is looking for original designs worldwide.
Design companies and individuals can sign up to compete at the official Web site of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Planning at www.bjghw.gov.cn, reports the Beijing Times.
Independent judges will vote on all submissions and the winner will be announced September 9. There will be six “recognition” awards and 10 “incentive” awards. Each winner of one of the six recognition awards will receive 30,000 yuan and 5,000 yuan will be awarded to each of ten winners of the incentive awards.
