Beijing’s municipal government and the Japan-China Economic Association are among the agencies sponsoring the first Beijing Japanese Enterprise Development Symposium October 20 and 21.
The investment symposium will cover topics such as information technology and healthcare for the 200 Japanese firms interested in investing in Beijing ahead of the Beijing 2008 Summer Games.
Kenji Iwamura, Beijing representative for the Japan-China Economic Association, said some of the increased attention comes because of the Beijing Olympics. Olympics are usually big for business and Panasonic is among the Beijing 2008 sponsors.
On October 20 the symposium will feature ways to conduct Olympics-related business.
