The 72 member savings banks of the East German Sparkassen are endorsing Leipzig’s bid for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. An agreement was signed between Leipzig’s mayor, the head of Leipzig’s 2012 bid and the 72 member banks at the Leipzig Arena.
Also, the IKB German industry Bank CORP has decorated its building with a 20 metre-long banner depicting the colourful logo of Dusseldorf’s 2012 Olympic bid.
Dr. Alexander V. Tippelskirch said because the IKB has been connected with Dusseldorf’s development since 1949 “we are happy to be able to support this application”.
