Ioannis Pyrgiotis has been hired to take over as an executive director for Athens 2004 following the dismissal of Costas Liaskas who was terminated October 18 after publically trading insults with Greece’s Public Work’s Minister.
Pyrgiotis is a member of the Athens organizing committee’s 17-member board of directors. He has also served on Athens Bid committee.
