Organizers of the Athens 2004 Summer Games got another setback Friday when a lawsuit was filed with Greece’s highest administrative court to prevent the construction of a media village.
According to the lawsuit, former javelin champion Sofia Sakorafa alleged that an agreement to build one of five media villages was signed illegally, claiming the town of Maroussi has not finished expropriating the land.
A court date has not yet been set and it remains unclear if construction will be delayed.
