The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is sponsoring an Athens 2004 delegation, led by its President Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki and 24 company executives, on a visit to Beijing, site of the 2008 Games, at the Olympic Know-How Conference being held October 31 to November 3.
The group will present a detailed account of the strategic choices made which contributed to the success of the Athens 2004 Games; the key areas of concern; and the conclusions drawn from the experience of the Games.
Attending the conference will be the chairpersons of the IOC Coordinating Commissions for future Olympic Games, other high-ranking officials of the IOC, Coordinating Commissions for future Olympic Games, the Presidents of International Federations, representatives of sport association, Beijing 2008 officials, representatives of the Turin 2006 Winter Olympic Games and the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games, and representatives of the five cities bidding for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
