According to Greek media two cruise ships that would house 1672 visitors for the Athens 2004 Games were confiscated because their owner, Royal Olympic Cruises, was in arrears to various banks in the amount of $250 million (U.S.).
The two ships, Olympia Voyager and Olympia Explorer, were to anchor at the port of Piraeus during the 2004 Games.
If the two cruise ships will not be available during the Games alternative plans will have to be considered by the Athens 2004 Olympic Committee.
