Anti-Garbage Rally To Decide 2008 Bid Strategy

Toronto’s Olympic bid could find out its fate on Sunday, when a mass rally is held in the Central Temiskaming town of Earlton, Ontario.

The “Temiskaming Olympic Committee” has been formed and the focus of the rally will be to decide strategy for a billboard, internet and letter-writing campaign which will target Toronto’s Olympic bid.

Toronto City Councillor is an invited guest, along with Temiskaming First Nation’s Chief Carole McBride, MPP David Ramsay, Cochrane James Bay MPP Gilles Bisson and Temiskaming MP Benoit Serre.

The Adams Mine Campaign (AMC) is protesting the dumping of Toronto’s garbage at the abandoned Adams Mine in Northern Ontario.
