Following an evaluation, it has been announced that Andorra may decide in two years if it will bid for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games. Andorra was recently eliminated from the 2010 Olympic bid.
An action plan recommended by Andorra 2010’s technical committee will be used to evaluate Andorra’s chances to host an Olympic bid.
The plan is based on a series of points that will be developed in the next two years.
First Andorra must obtain agreements to cooperate with its neighbouring countries, Spain and France.
The bid must promote the country internationally, especially through its sports, with more direct presence within the international winter sports federations, the organization of high level events in these disciplines, and with the formation of athletes able to complete at this high level.
And finally, Andorra must create sport and general infrastructures.
