A Turkish online newspaper reports that the nomination of Istanbul as the city to host the 2016 Olympics had a positive response from International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Jacques Rogge.
According to the newspaper Rogge said that Istanbul was one of the strongest prospective cities to host the 2016 Olympics.
