Abuja’s bid for the 2014 Commonwealth Games is to be promoted at a concert being held in the Edo State capital of Benin on Saturday.
Patrick Ukah, managing director of Gazelle Consults Limited, the marketing consultants for Abuja 2014, said the night would be one to remember by music lovers in and around Benin City. He added that Benin fans will have the opportunity of identifying with the Commonwealth Games process.
“This is the opportunity for Nigerians residing in Benin to come out in solidarity with the bid committee to ensure that Abuja and indeed Nigeria gets the right to host the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and thus become the first African nation to do so”.
The concert is also being held to generate funds for Abuja’s bid.
