Michael Hooper, chief executive officer of the Commonwealth Games Federation, said the bid evaluation commission report for the 2010 Commonwealth Games has been delayed by a week because the two bid cities could not file clarifications before the Sept. 10 deadline and submitted their reports Sept. 22.
Hooper said, “both the cites, New Delhi and Hamilton, bidding for the 2010 Commonwealth Games, gave their clarification only yesterday. Due to this the report which was to be submitted by October 1, will be delayed by a week”.
Hooper said the committee had asked for “further clarifications” from the two bid cities to complete the final report by the end of the month.
Hooper said he was satisfied by the responses and the final report would come out by October 7.
The 2010 Commonwealth Games host city will be announced on Nov. 13 in Kingston Jamaica.
