The Organisation of American States (OAS) has adopted a resolution calling on the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to reinstate baseball in the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
The resolution was introduced by the United States.
Baseball was played in last year’s Summer Games in Beijing but is not included in the London 2012 Games. In a 2005 vote the sport was ejected by the IOC.
