IBAF Will Present To IOC For Re-Instatement In Games

Dr. Harvey W. Schiller, President of the International Baseball Federation (IBF), is a member of a bid team that will make a 20-minute presentation Monday to the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) Executive Board on why baseball should be re-instated to the Olympic program.

Baseball’s presentation is to address all of the reasons why the sport was removed from the 2012 program and will offer a five-day tournament plan for men and women that will include using the best players from professional baseball.

According to a letter Dr. Schiller wrote, the baseball federation recently received notes of assistance from IOC members in Italy, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands, Israel, Japan, China, Korea, Sweden, Latvia, Fiji, Hungary and across Africa.
