The Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee is to present Olympic and Paralympic medals in St. Petersburg May 30, during the 11th SportAccord International Convention.
A record number of competitions will reportedly take place during the Sochi 2014 Winter Games and a record number of medals will be produced. About 1,300 medals, each with their own unique design, will be made, distinguishing them from medals given during previous Olympic and Paralympic Games, emphasizing Russia’s national character and identity.
The medals presentation ceremony May 30 in St. Petersburg will be attended by Dmitry Chernyshenko, President and CEO of Sochi 2014, famous athletes, and public figures.
