On March 7 Russia will celebrate one year until the Winter Paralympic Games take place March 7-16, 2014.
The Games will bring together 1,350 Paralympic athletes and team members from 45 countries competing for 72 sets of medals in five Paralympic sports.
A set of Paralympic test events will take place at the “Rosa Khutor” Alpine Center. The IPC Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals, which will include a new event, para-snowboarding, will begin March 6.
Celebrations will be held in Moscow’s Red Square where the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Torch Relay route and the official pictograms of the Paralympic Games will be unveiled by Dmitry Chernyshenko, President and CEO of Sochi 2014.
